Join us at the Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize Opening Night as we celebrate the talent of Australia’s finest women artists. Immerse yourself in the artworks of all our finalists, be part of the excitement as we announce our winners, meet our judges and some of the talented artists, and be the first to purchase artworks which go on sale following the announcement of winners.

Your ticket price includes exhibition entry, hot and cold canapés, and a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages throughout the evening. Guests will also be invited to submit their vote for the Peoples’ Choice Award.

Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize

The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize Exhibition of Finalists is open from Saturday 21 June 2025 to Sunday 6 July 2025, Thursdays to Sundays, 10am to 4pm.

Entry is free. Artworks are available for sale during the Exhibition: “The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize Exhibition also includes a Virtual Exhibition for art lovers unable to visit the Exhibition in Gordon, Sydney. The Virtual Exhibition is available during the Exhibition of the Finalists. View the 2024 Virtual Exhibition below.

The Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize is an annual acquisitive prize, launched in 2017 to advance art and opportunity for emerging and established women artists in Australia. It is the highest-value professional artist prize for women in Australia.

Prizes

  • Professional Artist Prize – $35,000
  • Emerging Artist Prize, supported by the Reed Family Foundation – $7,500
  • Indigenous Emerging Artist Prize, supported by the Guardian and Scarborough Foundation – $7,500
  • People’s Choice Award, supported by Edwina Palmer – $2,000, plus a $500 Derivan art pack
  • Highly Commended Awards, supported by Lindfield & Districts Community Bank (two for each category) – $1,000 each (total of 6).

Artwork judging is overseen by a panel of esteemed judges, led by Ravenswood Australian Women’s Art Prize Patron and acclaimed artist Jade Oakley.
